Initiatives to achieve this future:
Riversiders feel that their City is the best-kept secret in Southern California and want to share it with the world. Develop key messages that can and will be used by local government, business, educational institutions and others to tell the Riverside story to residents and potential visitors. Our progress...Project a positive image of Riverside by creating attractive City entrances, erecting “Welcome to Riverside” billboards (“Welcome to the Emerald City,” “Welcome to SmartRiverside,” etc.) and creatively marking and defining neighborhoods throughout the City. Our progress...We are committed to informing residents and visitors about the latest Riverside news and events. Projects in the queue include: producing a broader range of content for local Channel 3; creating a video loop about the best of Riverside and upcoming events; and providing students the creative and vocational opportunities to create content for local media. Our progress...Many already sing the praises of their City. We are further coordinating and supporting their efforts with projects such as a roster of key spokespeople and experts, a Riverside media guide and a media access center for remote interviews and other media interactions. Our progress... |
